Desayuno Cafe

Stopped in after seeing a little feature on the local news. The place is a different mix of coffee shop and taco shop. It’s smallish (probably 25 person capacity) with a drive thru. Service is pleasant and competent (counter-serve - still prompted to tip starting at 18% like full service). The food we tried was solid and seemed high quality. We had the chilaquiles burrito and an Azteca burrito. They definitely passed the yummy tortilla test with flying colors. The flavors were good, but Phoenix sets tough competitive baseline for burritos. Solid, but not a go-to for us. Still, it’s a nice little cafe with good food. Note: It’s on the SW corner of 32nd St and T-bird. The building signage leaves a bit to be desired (almost drove by). Still has temporary signage and one half of the pad has an “Available for Lease” banner.

Do yourselves a favor and come here! The food was incredible and the burritos are MASSIVE. You can tell they make everything fresh and put a lot of care into their food. The decor inside is also so cute. Love the atmosphere…we will definitely be back!

Desayuno Cafe is easily one of the best hidden gems in North Phoenix. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican breakfast or lunch with incredible coffee, this place absolutely deserves a visit. I ordered the Chilaquiles Burrito and the Crunch God Supreme, along with the Mazapán Latte and the Fresa con Crema Latte, and honestly, I have no notes when it comes to the food. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can immediately tell this is a true scratch kitchen where everything is made fresh to order. The quality and freshness really shine through in every bite. Out of the two lattes, the Mazapán Latte was my favorite. It had such a rich, delicious flavor. The Fresa con Crema Latte was also very good, but it leaned a little heavier on the cinnamon than I personally prefer. It definitely wasn’t a dealbreaker just my only small takeaway. The atmosphere is just as memorable as the food. While it’s a smaller café with cozy seating, it feels warm, inviting, and full of personality. I loved the colorful décor, all of the plants, and the little details throughout the space. Even the bathroom stood out with its neon pink and purple lighting, it was such a fun and unexpected touch that added to the experience. Overall, Desayuno Cafe is a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Between the fresh, flavorful food, delicious coffee, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking to support a fantastic local spot.

Absolutely Delicious! You can actually taste the espresso from the milk. My wife and I loved it. Finally a coffee shop with variety of flavors and different styles. We got an abuelita latte and a sweet tamal latte. Phenomenal.

We had the clasico breakfast burrito with chipotle chicken and black beans and coffees! Medium and hot sauce are bomb! Everything here is homemade and the coffee was excellent! Way surpassed our expectations!! Must try if you are in Phoenix
